Hello,

I cannot wait. Can anyone shed some light on any of these questions regarding the May 29th class?

1) How many cadets ( i think it is 9:cool: ? How many men? How many women?
2) What is the first week like? Are they restricted to the base on the first weekend? Phone restrictions?
3) what are there tasks in the first week? ( besides being yelled at) I know it is mostly paperwork

Impatiently,
Fawnie

a lot of things about cadet training cannot be told, you have to go through it. but yes, cadets are restricted to the academy grounds the first week and they cannot use cell phones. it all depends, they may say it is okay to use cell phones either next week or the week after and phone times are limted to one-half hour per day, between 8:15 to 8:45pm and thats it, anytime after that he will get in trouble with the Staff Officers if he is caught.

classes start week 1.

The only thing I can answer for you, Fawnie dear, is that that my husband came home the first weekend. He was tired, hungry and swimming in the suit he wore the first day only 5 days earlier...Everything they did was intense whether it was class or paperwork or PT..First week was hell, and he was sad to report me to upon his arrival back at the academy that 10 or so didn't show back up for teh following week. During his class, he was able to call me every night from his cell phone..But one of the cadets abused the privilige and was caught by the staff office, and phone time was limited to a 2 hour block every day..Unless they happened to be doing night classes, I was fortunate enough to hear from him nearly every day. It's a really tough time..For both the family and teh cadet..Hang in there, it will be well worth it
