So, I want to say that I heard somewhere that there was a CHP museum in the Sacto area, at the Academy, if I'm not mistaken. Seeing as I am heading up to San Francisco, I figured I'd take a little side trip and check it out, if it exists...

Yup. Go to the front desk at the Academy and ask. If they let you in once you get to the front gate...

So...I take it that the Academy is very selective as to who they let in, even for the museum?

One day, when my wish list has been filled, there will be a museum located at the front gate that will be open to the public. One of my projects that got slowed when money disappeared.

If you tell the officer at the entrance kiosk that you are there to see the museum, they will let you in. Make sure you have ID (a driver's license is fine).
