Hiring Freeze

Does anybody know if there is going to be a hiring freeze this year?:confused::

I dunno..I sure hope not! my husband was hired during the freeze and that was in the butt..He got his letter inviting him to the academy, but it was like a year before the next class started..We have so few officers as it is now, and so many retire each year..Especially up north where we're headed in July..I really hope there won't be another freeze..

I would say that it's highly unlikely. Read the state budget for the department. It's on the state website.

while I was at the academy the staff was saying they got the approval for a few 150+ cadet classes, not sure how many. but that also depends on if they can fill them.
