It's pretty exciting... Now it's just the anticipation of what offers are coming... It was definitely a surprise to see this first round of offers reach #35!! (44 people rec'd offers, including 9 from the old list) At this rate, #54 doesn't look too shabby ;)... And the latest "rumor" is the next test date will be around the end of this year/beginning of next, but that's unconfirmed...

That may be why the short turnaround on the next test is such a prevalent rumor...

To be honest, I'm just learning how this whole process works. What I've heard is, one can expect offers to come out around the 20th or so of each month as, by then, the Sgt's transfer list has come and gone (Sgt's transfer monthly). As far as the number of offers, I've also heard that we stand to lose SEVERAL Sgt's over the next year or two with retirements looming and the retirement offset going away soon.

Maybe some of our incumbent Sgts on this forum can shed some light... It's sometimes hard to separate fact from fiction (as everything seems to be 'round these parts! :lol: )

PS - let me clarify... It's "rank 54, position 63" - Yep, that's me, right smack in the middle of 126 other people!!
Do you know how hard it was to plan that?

Congrats, Radar - that's a solid placing. Hopefully you'll get an offer that's at least somewhere close to home. I PM'ed you with some info.

There are a lot of rumors flying about the next test, but nothing written in stone yet AFAIK.

Thanks for the info, Mac. I do appreciate it!... As far as my placement on the list, I'll say what I've heard many times through this process - "You know what they call the last person on this list? That's right; 'Sergeant!'" :lol:
