Well this morning I open my door to go too school and notice an overnight envelope siting at my front door. I grab it and run in the house and my mom is like what the heck is up with you, lol. I open it up and pull a wad of papers out... the one on the top in bold says Congratulations and I start loosing it. Sure enough it was my letter accepting me into the academy!!! I did it, I am done with this part of the process.
Well I called like I am supposed to and told them I wasn't going to go too this academy due to not graduating tell June. They said ok, but I learned a little bit of info. that I had previously been told differently. I do not get first dibs on the next academy due too deferring, but get put on the bottom of the pile. What this means is lets say the next class was scheduled for only 40 cadets and they had 40 people that had never deferred before, then I wouldn't get in. BUT as we know they have been trying to get 140+ cadets and haven't been coming close, so I feel confident that I will be in the next class, that is unless the can find 140+ new people which doesn't sound like that is happening anytime soon(sadly, yet good for me)

Just under four months. From everybody i talk to that is about as quick as it goes.

A timelime from written exam to academy invite in around four months is amazing, wish I would have tested out of your division. More importantly, congratulations.

Congratulations on making it this far. The long and short of it is, you will probably go in September. They have been wanting these last couple of classes to have approximately 120 cadets in them, but haven't come close. So the odds of them telling you "No" for the Septemeber class is in my opinion pretty low. That being said, don't be a slacker and screw around all summer. Get out there and wear out a pair of running shoes. Join a gym and really push your self physically. (That goes for all of you guys and gals that are thinking you'll be going to the academy this year!") The Academy staff is expecting you to come there prepared for six months of rigorus training, but unfortunately they know most of you will show up with minimal preperation. PROVE THEM WRONG and blow them away! Good luck, Cadet.

Thanks, every time I hear that I should be fine for the Sept. class it makes me feel better!
As for training, well as of late I have just been doing enough to get by, but that doesn't meant that I have been doing nothing. I graduate on Fri. and I made a promise to myself that since I deffered that this summer would be all about training. I have a lot of plans for working out this summer and I can't wait to get started. I want enter the academy not having to worry about being in shape!
