As I was leaving for work this morning I stumbled across an envelope on my doorstep and it was my invitation letter to the May academy. Definitely feels real nice to finally have that show up. Like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders but now an even bigger one has been added with the impending "fun".

I know this is only my second time posting, but I have spent a considerable amount of time reading on here, and I wanted to thank all of you for the honest help a lot of you have been with your posts and advice, names like dw, mac, yourmentor, grady, etc. all come to mind. Your insights have been extremely valuable. So thanks again.

Any last tips would be greatly appreciated, but aside from that it's just run run run run and push ups, etc for 3 and a half more weeks!

It's only the beginning guys... gotta pass the academy, FTO and probation before you have that "weight" lifted off your shoulders. It's a long stressful process. Don't quit and do as you are told in the academy.

Congrats to both of you. Be ready to work harder than you've ever worked in your life - but the job is worth it!

My BI told me it's on for May 29th.

Just received mine on Friday. Best of luck to everyone else who will be there with me. Does anyone know how many cadets they are expecting for this class? Not that it will make any dfference at this point, but which is preferable, a large class were you can blend in, or a smaller close knit group that has more individual instruction time? See you all there.
