MAY ACADEMY PUSHED BACK???

Anybody know anything about the May academy being pushed back to September? Reason why I ask is because a family member recently spoke with a CHP Officer at one of the recruiting booths (I think at Cal Expo, but not sure) and was asking some questions. Supposedly the officer said that the May academy WILL be pushed back to the September class because they do not have enough cadets to fill the May class. I believe this may have been a topic before but was just wondering if anybody (probably dw) had accurate and current info if this will be a for sure thing. I have my psychological evaluation May 3 so if everything goes well, I figure I would be looking at the May academy and I wouldn't mind if it was pushed back because that means it will give more time to get into shape (which I do need)...:biggrin:

I was wondering how long it would be until this rumor/information made it to the applicants...

There was talk couple weeks ago that the Commissioners, at the end of April, would decide whether the May 29th class should be pushed back 30 or 60 days.

I've heard nothing official, nor any decision now that April has come and gone. Last official word I heard, for what it's worth, is the May 29th class is still on.

dw, I got an applicant, would be out of GG Div. I see the deadline for testing is May 4th. He gets the application in postmarked May 4th, will he make the written test in June? Also, if he's out of San Mateo Co, will he have to travel to SJ or SF or Alam. Co for testing? His uncle is a police detective and he's already asked his uncle about the job. Figure I got one, don't know how good, but he's alive.
