Saw this in the San Jose newspaper:

Q We were driving down Highway 101 recently and a little south of Moffett we saw a CHP cruiser on the left shoulder. When we passed him, we saw that he was carefully escorting a mother duck and her brood of ducklings! It's killing us to not know what became of them. Have you heard anything?

A Folks, we need help. The CHP was unable to say what happened to these ducks. This crossing took place on April 21, a Thursday around 3:30 p.m. Anyone know what happened?

If anyone here knows contact:
Gary Richards at mrroadshow@mercurynews.com or (40:cool: 920-5335.

It's my understanding that CHP went code 6 with the ducks and marched them off of the freeway at gunpoint, then handed them over to Fish & Game. ;)

Just south of Moffett is Redwood City's area, unless you were south of Ellis.

Mr Richards can call Golden Gate's TMC and request info on that log - they should be able to tell him the disposition.

drivers need to keep their eyes on the road, not what's on the side. That's how accidents occur.

....there's the correct answer, straight from our "subject matter expert". TMC should be able to look it up and tell the disposition. Most likely, the officer stayed with them until they reached their destination, then let them go on their merry way.

"Most likely, the officer stayed with them until they reached their destination, then let them go on their merry way."
