Everyone has their own opinions on what guns they like-- usually dealing with how it feels in their hand. I bought a Taurus 140BP just a few months ago and I dont have any complaints. I compared the Taurus and a Glock. Glock has a great reputation but the Taurus felt more natural to me and it was almost half the price. In the past Taurus has had some reliability issues, but in the last few years it seems they have got all the bugs worked out. I like my gun. Its light, accurate, and feels good in my hand. Before buying anything I would recommend trying to shoot a few different brands to see what you like.

My first duty gun was a Taurus .38 special. It worked great. I "Graduated' to a Dan Wesson .357, then to a S & W Model 59, 9mm, then a S & W 659, then, I ended my career with a Glock .40. The Glock was my favorite by far. I fit soooo good and I was able to shoot Distinguished Expert every time with it...
