As a rule I try and stay away from discussing to many political issues but this program has me puzzled. After seeing thousands of people lose homes in this country a program now starts to have people purchase new vehicles they possibly won't be able to afford after a few months of ownership. I mean after the purchase of a house what is the next most expensive item a person/family buys? A vehicle, correct? And last time I checked not every person in this country was employed.
It's my opinion before this year ends LE is going to notice a large increase in vehicle theft reports from people who simply couldn't help themselves and are once again in financial trouble. Be ready to recover new vehicles less than year old burning in open fields, sitting destroyed at the bottom of a cliff etc..
Any thoughts?

That's all true, but from a financers stance it's an abundance of joy. People don't normally pay off cars in full, so when they end up missing their payment late fees are going to kick in. My issue though is they just destroy the car instead of using the parts somewhere else, in many instances taking a car that runs fine and just destroying it.

What? You mean the Government wants to help me get rid of my paid off car by giving me $4500 bucks to buy a $25,000 car? SWEET!!
Wait... does that mean I'm on the hook for the other 20 grand? Plus the increased insurance for the new ride?
Yeah... sounds like a great idea to me!

I guess most folks don't stop to think where that $4500 is coming from.......oh the government and who is that?? Remember something about We the People............standby, those additional billions that they are considering.......those are your tax dollars......not enough of them?? I heard the guy say last Sunday morning that increasing your tax is not off the table. Er....that means it is on the table...........no surprise to me
I was wondering when I was going to feel the CHANGE........
I got this in an e-mail today and it makes sense to me. Not only that but it is true..........read the letter on the snopes page

Good point Vinnie about insurance,I forgot about that. I can just see the look on a new buyers face after getting a bill for the first insurance payment. Wait, this is way more than I paid for my 95 Toyota.

I keep feeling like I'm carrying the weight of the world on my back every time I come to work. Before Obama most people had little idea of what "work" meant, the notion of working will be (is) a joke [by the end of this year] as I hear he's looking to extend UE benefits.

Currently I am selling cars and I have to admit I like seeing the extra traffic this program is creating!!
I sell a high end product but even so i have had a couple deals from the CFC program. Toyota and Honda dealerships are swamped right now.
