?? RE: Applications to another departments

Hello, I am in the application process with the California Highway Patrol and just passed my written exam (57.0 - is that good? Whats it out of?) and will be taking my physical exam 4/22/06. My question is regarding my application to another department and its effect on my process with the CHP. There are two Law Enforcement agencies I would like the opportunity to work for - My local PD and the CHP. I washed out of the PD academy less than a year ago (about 8 to 9 months ago, turned in my application to the CHP around the same time) something I deeply regret and have since made signifigant changes in my lifestyle and outlook to get past that part of my life and look to the future.

Will this have a negative effect on my application process/QAP with the CHP? I am squared away, and ready to move on with my life - I want nothing more in the world than to be a Peace Officer and believe I have much to offer to the CHP.

Hard to answer without details of why you were "washed out". Your application to another agency should not affect your CHP application in and of itself, but your background and/or disqualification from the other agency may. Feel free to PM me.
