Has anyone been camping at D.L Bliss SP? I was looking for some info on the good campsites and the ones to avoid.

I've camped there a few times. I think my family and I went there five or six years in a row when I was growing up. I loved it. It's really far from civilization so you can't just run to the market, but that's what we wanted. The closer you can get a campsite to the beach the better (unless you plan to leave the campground and go site seeing every day). We always had boats and stuff so we wanted to be close to the beach. Try not to get a camping spot that everyone walks through to get to the beach either though.

We did spaces 122 and 123 for a couple years and they were good. A decent walk down to the beach. I was young and it was fun. Too far to walk with an ice chest or chairs. Nice and private spot though. The last few year we used spots 164 and 165. They were perfect.

Weekends were always PACKED. I look forward to taking my kids there when they get a little older.

Take the Rubicon Trail hike if you go there.

Good luck getting a spot. My dad used to have to make reservations nearly a year in advance. Hopefully it's not that bad anymore.

Sweet! Thats what i was looking for, thanks. my kids are 6 and 4 so i wanted something a little close to the beach but hopefully with some big rocks to climb on. We already go to New Brighton Beach every year so im familiar with the reserve america system. We just got back from Bodega Bay Dunes and the kids loved it. The site backed right up to the dunes with good size trees. The people next to us had a 40 foot rope swing going from the top of the dune to the bottom of the dune. Next time.

There are MORE than enough rocks to climb on if you take that trail hike I mentioned. And a small wooden (outhouse sized) lighthouse to check out too. Wow, all the memories this is bringing back
