Initial BI Contact

Hello, Just wondering if I should contact Valley Div. to inquire about my BI status? Received cond. hire 1/27/06, submitted package 2/03/06, have not been contacted. Should I worry? Thanks for any input in advance!:confused::

yes... call them on a daily basis... they love the attention. plead with them to start your case immediately. okay... just some sarcasm. on an honest note, NO, i wouldn't call them. these officers have a ridiculous case load, and can only do so much at one time, while still making time to eat and sleep. i hear they even give them bathroom breaks now and then. just to give you an idea of timing... and i'm sure many others on this site can attest to this... i turned in my phs in august of 2005, and didn't get my first call for about two and a half months. even at that point, it was just, "hi, i have your packet, and will call you when i start on it." my initial background interview didn't happen until february 2006. yes... almost 6 months later. not to burst your bubble, but not much about this process is quick. trust me though.... worth every second of the wait.

darch: How big is Elk Grove now? Last time I was up there the city had just established a police department.

Supertrooper - I have completed/passed Written, PAT, Psych (written), QAP, turned in BI packet.

As for the Elk Grove area, we continue to see tremendous growth in the region, in all development phases. Retail, commercial, housing etc. It is truly unbeleivable! Have been here only since 1999 (from Sacramento area), just in that short span of time, I have witnessed an enormous rise in population. Good luck w/ all your goals.:cool:
