The recent problems between Mexico and the US in regards to the Obama administration backing away from allowing mexican trucks to carry goods into the states has me wondering just how the drivers are licensed. Do the mexican truck drivers use mexican drivers licenses alone, or were they required to obtain a US state's drivers license to ply California roads. Treaties are usually the dictatorial powers between countries, but there has been some resistance to mexican drivers licenses beyond the border areas as I remember. What has been your experiences with them as far as licensing goes, and is anyone in the know about any future plans to deal with them if the administration backtracks on the policy and allows them to carry goods in the US again
