In the photo of Papa Bear it sure looks like he's wearing one. I have two, one for the revolver, then one for the semi when we changed over. Too bad they (Hoyt) retired.

Never had a Hoyt, but in my Explorer days (1969-1973) I heard many of the Officers talk about their Hoyts and how smooth they were.

Thanks so much for sharing. What year did the CHP stop using Harleys?
If you have any more pictures you'd like to share, I'd love to see them. I like the nostalgic pictures even more than I do the 'current day' ones.
