My question is, Who will insure it, and can you afford a premium?

I'm certain that most insurance companies will be more than happy to take your money to insure that. My question is..who would want that? Not exactly the most attractive vehicle on the road in my opinion.

Only 100 miles per charge and 8-10 hours to charge, that is only good for ones who lives in downtown cities and work in downtown area. But for most people who have to commute from say the OC to LA or Riverside County to San Diego or Oakland to San Fran, it is not going to be that good of a car.

I actually kinda like it, it is different, but for a lot of people they would not benefit from it.

Check out the video on the Carver. I think I'd rather buy this vehicle than the Jetson's spacey vehicle.

you can already go buy an electric car. yeah yeah, its expensive as hell, but so are other sports cars. they were supposed to come out with a sedan that would cost around $50,000, but that has been put on hold since the economy crapped itself.

Would you really? That car just looks too gay.

Yesterday morning while on the way to an appointment, I saw one of these. Freaked me out! I wasn't at the intersection yet where it had stopped, then made a quick left in front of me. I see in the article that a kit was delivered to Redwood City last April, so maybe that was the one I saw. If you look at the Gallery in that same paragraph, down at the bottom is one that was in Pebble Beach, and it was that color of blue. The driver looked a little too huge to be in that little thing. I half expected to see Mr. Bean! Our family fell in love with the Renault Twingos we saw in Europe several years ago --been upgraded now and not as endearing to look at. My daughter named them, "Happy Cars." (Of course, women look at how cute they are rather than performance.)

Whoops --forgot to add the link: http://www.commutercars.com/

Didn't they have a chase seen in Austin Power's "goldmember" with little 3 wheel cars? That car kind of reminds me of those.

How does a car look gay? I don't understand. :noidea:

I like the looks of the Smart Car better than the Tango.

I think it's because I have always driven a muscle car and can't picture myself driving something that looks like I can outrun. I am sure they will be a big hit in Boulder... The smart cars have already been a hit here and if you don't drive one of those or a mid-1990s Outback with a hundred bumper stickers something isn't right. Hurry head to the hills to commune with nature. Off my soapbox now.

So if it's not a muscle car it's a gay car? I still don't understand what a gay car looks like. Maybe you can clarify when you take your foot out of your mouth. Or, maybe you might want to think about what you are saying before you express your thoughts.

Yes I explained why i thought so. And no if it's not a muscle car it's not automatically a gay looking car. I would drive an audi, bmw etc. anyday. It's mostly because I haven't seen too many three wheelers in person. Why do I feel like you are giving me an attitude over this?

I have a feeling you just don't get it,,,, and that's a bad thing.

Oh I see sorry for offending you using the word gay. That;s all I can see you being in a fuss about. By the way did you ever get in contact with Mary after I initially sent that message on to her? Have a good day please.
