favorite thing about being in CHP

Every day is different

For the most part, you get to do what you want throughout the day

not sitting in some office or building all...day....long

I can truely say I absolutely love my job. I couldn't imagine doing anything else that is more satisfying than this. The only thing that would make this job better is if I were able to get close to home.

My favorite part, getting felony hooks and making sure they go to the state pen.

I love getting someone on radar at 100+, turning through the center divider and catching up to them 4 miles down the road and bumper pacing them at yes, you guessed it, 100+. Then walking up to the car and telling them why they were stopped and asking if they know how fast they were going and getting the usual reply of "I was just going with the flow of traffic"......

The variety. No two days are EVER the same, and you never know what to expect next. I had several very boring, predictable, monotonous jobs before the CHP, and dreaded going to work every day because it was the same old same old.

Oh yeah, and the paycheck is nice too! :smile:
