First of all, thank you. Thank you for being out there and please, please be careful. I know you guys, of all people, know they say tonight is a bad night for DWIs (DUI). Take as many of 'em off the road as you can, but please be safe doing it.

I also want to thank you for giving up your holiday with your family to be out there keeping us all safe. If there was anything I could do to ease your burden, believe me, I would. Know this, though. There are many of us civilians out here who do truly appreciate it and are indebted to you. It's because of men and women like you who, day in and day out, night in and night out, answer that call and keep us safe and sound so that we can all enjoy our holiday.

It seems so trite to merely say thank you for being out there every day of the year keeping me and my family safe. If there were more I could do to show my appreciation you know I would.
