Did anyone else hear his rambling statement to the judge? I heard it live on the radio and was impressed with his ability to ramble without ceasing, all while avoiding saying anything that remotely smacked of intelligence. Basically, he should be cut some slack, because he didn't mean to steal anything or hurt anybody.
If anyone is interested, If I Did It is a fun, quick read.

I watched this on TV today. I think the fact OJ addressed the court saved his bacon from getting even more time. When I heard Judge Glass sentence Clarence Stewart to fifteen years before she sentenced OJ I thought "Juice" would be going away for a lot longer sice he was the mastermind.

Speaking of NFL players...
I remember watching a video on a CHP pursuit that involved retired NFL (San Diego Chargers) star, Darryl Lewis. And I remember it took 5 officers to take down the 200-pound man

Looks like we might have a re-make of "the longest yard" coming soon

The rules are somewhat more restrictive for CHP players.

HAHA nice one!
Glad to see OJ is finally going where he deserves to be. Water always finds its own level.

If they can draft from other "camps", they may have a wide receiver to add to the mix soon, too. NY Giants WR Plaxico Burress may be facing prison time after his recent fiasco in a New York City nightclub (if you hadn't heard, he shot himself in the leg while fumbling with the illegal loaded pistol he was carrying). Apparently, possession of a loaded firearm is a Class C Felony in the Big Apple, and the mayor was on tv the other night saying he wants to see prison time if he's convicted.

3 1/2 - 15 years, if convicted
Oh and what happened to Michael Vick? Quarterback added to the new Longest Yard roster

NYC is pretty tough on gun possession period. I could see where the mayor would sieze this opportunity to send a strong message to anyone else. Unfortunately, they didn't get at the root of the crime here which was apparently stupidity rather than possession. Well, I don't know if alcohol was involved here or not, but it is also stupid to mix alcohol and gunpowder anyway.
Maybe Sarah Brady will have him make a commercial from prison to air in city limits

Vick's projected release date from prison is July 20, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons Web site.http://hamptonroads.com/2008/08/michael-vick-says-he-plans-play-nfl-again

Speaking of "The Longest Yard", it appears that Vick is playing football at Ft Leavenworth, KS.

I'm having a hard time believing that any NFL team will sign him but stranger things have happened.
