Is there a new video out there for academy blues?? If so, where can I get it?? I live in Virginia and do not have the opportunity to go to Q&A at the academy.

Thanks

There are two "Academy Blues" videos... I prefer the older one. You should be able to get them from the audio visual department at the Academy or through recruitment. I don't believe videos are free... While you're at it, get them to send you as much recruitment material as possible. There are also videos to help you pass the written, essay, and Qualifications Appraisal Panel (but they are a few years old). When the QAP asks, "What have you done to prepare yourself?" you'll have a plethora of information to tell them.

There are at least four revisions I'm aware of, and yes, there was a new one produced late last year.

I doubt you'll be able to get it because the video specifically notes it is not to be used a recruitment tool. The intent is to help prepare those actually going into the Academy.

Four! Wow... I've only seen two. That's good news. Every recruitment seminar I've been to has shown Academy Blues. Someone hasn't received the memo.

Too bad they don't still show the old "Tell It Like It Is" video - that one is a gem! It's the original Academy video circa 1980, with Danny Gilmore when he was a PT Instructor....absolutely classic monologue in the gym during a PT session.
