Actually, this is about some football that wasn't, for home viewers. Since my cousin was a player for the New York Jets, he was nice enough to leave us game tickets at the hotel counter when the Jets came to Oakland. We have never been Raiders fans, but we enjoyed the game anyway, especially when it seemed a forgone conclusion that the Jets would win this game --hey, we had to cheer for my cousin! (We also relished the great seats at the sidelines behind the players bench along with the wives and family members.) Well, not to be! With some mad scrambling at the end, the Raiders came WAY out on top. Going home, we tuned into the post-game commentary and were stunned to hear this bit of news:

The other day I heard mention of this game somewhere, and just had to post it for all of you "youngies" who may have not even heard of it. The good old "Heidi Game." We will never forget it, even though we didn't get caught up in the debacle at the end.
