Post Academy Assignment

I'm trying to find a place that I could possibly be stationed after the academy that my wife could also continue her degree, we've found that the Bay Area works great, she can attend SF State and continue her degree. Assuming I make it through the rest of my testing process(I just took the written test 09/06/08), AND through the academy, can anyone shed some light on about how likely it would be for me to get somewhere in the bay area? (oh and I'm right in the middle as far as SSN goes). I've been told that that is an easy area to get stationed right off the bat, I'm just looking for some second opinions.

Any advice/words of wisdom would be appreciated!
