I don't think this has been posted yet. There is a new recruiting video on the CHP website. I think it looks pretty good!

Cool video, I recognize Officer Watson from an episode of Take Home Chef. If I remember correctly he was from South Los Angeles Area office.

He's actually a Lieutenant. That would be an interesting "Take Home Chef" episode. I do believe he was in S.L.A. at one point.

My mistake, yeah they threw a dinner for the Captain of the station who was transferring.

The Cadets are from CTC-I-08. Lieutenant Watson has been at the Academy and I believe he will be coming back down south very soon - very cool guy. I know some folks who got "Watsonized"!

When I left the academy due to Injury, the last person I spoke with before signing my papers was Lt. Watson. He is a very good person, and after about a 15minute conversation, my impression of him is much different than what many other cadets had experienced from him.

Can't wait to go back to the academy, these videos are just more motivation, as if that was a problem...

How long were you at the academy before you were unable to continue?

Hey, he was "Omar" when I first met him. Saw him later at a tour of the Academy. Glad to know he's an LT now. He always seemed like such a classy man to me. (He's famous and he doesn't even know it.)

My husband and I day-tripped up to Sac to go the the PX and show our boys the Academy (graduation day was too crazy). We ran into LT that day, and yes, he will be there VERY soon.

My best friend says the same thing too. He is "just" Omar to her. Lt.Watson was there for my best friend when her husband was involved in a critical incident. He drove a few hours to see her at her home and console her. Lt. Watson didn't have to do that, but he did and it meant/means the world to her. He walked both she and her husband (who is recovered now thank God) through 4800 time and just about everything else they needed. I have a feeling he's been famous before this video w/ others as well. Someone w/ that much class doesn't get unnoticed for long. It's nice to put a face to all those compliments she gives him.

Great video of all who participated. Kudos to those that put it together.

Great video. It's nice to see a updated recruiting video. The first officer is from my class and also from the same office. It's cool working the same shift as Officer Matson. A good friend of mine had Lt. Watson as a Sergeant down in L.A before he promoted to Lt. and he said the Lt. is the coolest guy you will meet (of course at the academy it did not feel that way).

Great videos...in part 3 there were some beefy dudes.

I wonder if they graduated and if they did how much weight they lost. I just don't get how you can show up that out of shape:hitwall:

But...when you see the PT instructors, I am sure they can "motivate" with the best of them. They look lean and mean.
