Hello everyone. I would like to start off first, by saying I am new to this forum and truly appreciate reading everyones stories and experiences. I am currently in the process of becoming a cadet. I recently passed my QAP, and am looking forward to continuing the process in becoming an Officer. With that said, I have a question about my work history form. I currently work for Union Pacific and haven't paid into social security for over 10 years, I pay into the railroad retirement board (RRB). My question is, do I still need to get a SSA work history, (which will be blank) or do I turn in my RRB work history which covers the last 10 years of my life? If this has ever been brought up before, please direct me to the thread discussing it, I could not find it.
Thank you and I look forward to your responses.

You do need a SS card and I believe that is the same number that you use for the RRB. Just provide the information for your last ten years of employment. Of course, you will need to provide your ENTIRE work history, but don't worry too much. Good luck in your quest.

Yes sir, the SS numbers are the same and I do have my SS card. I also have my form G-90, which is my RRB work history covering my last ten years of employment, so I hope this would be sufficient. Again, Thank You and everyone stay safe.

What Nestat is referring to is the requirement of some Divisions that the applicant provide a Social Security work history report to their Background Investigator. In your case, the requirement is to provide the SS work history, even if blank. If you want to provide the other as well, that is fine, but you should comply with the instructions to provide the SS report.
