Gotta be past 19,000 by now. Anyone know what the last (highest) badge number was for this last class that graduated?

Help me with the time frame--does that put you at the beginning of the "expansion" and me at the tail end (7016)?
My favorite picture from my son's graduation was his grandpa holding his retired badge (2000 series) and my son wearing his new badge (18000 series) at the pinning.

On the flip side, I sure am glad my 33 book doesn't have a picture of a horse to mark damage on.

Well, I for one am very happy to see that picture of your dog around here again! I will take a chance here and speak for everybody when I say I am very proud of what you have accomplished so far...keep your focus...just a couple hurdles left; Great job, and great to see you back here for a little longer than your 15 to 20 second sneaks over the last 6 months!

Thank you Yz. I was trying to lay low but could not stay away completely. A friend of mine at the academy was saying that on pick-up day the staff asked him if he was nor-cal hopeful. He ofcourse said no, and found out later that I was. We laughed about it. I am sure that some of the staff knew, but I was never asked about it. I had some of the most fun times in my life at the academy. I also had some of the most trying times in my life. I will say that everything I went through was worth it. On Friday, I could not wipe the grin off my face as hard as I tried. I can't wait for break in.

Yep, I was in CTC IX 66 (Nov 6) and there were 10 classes that year. The expansion was called Operation 500 and I later figured out that came from the Santa Ana Freeway beats from the Orange Co. Line to the LA City limits. 83-500, 501, 502 sometimes called Blood Alley because of all the wrecks. We had beats about 3 miles long and you better not get caught off your beat in those days. 66 started out in January with badges numbers around 4000 and ended up in December with badge numbers around 5300.
I might also point out that we did not have horses on our Form 33 books cuz we didn't have any in those days but you do have them today!!! We also had patrol cars that were really muscle cars............

Hey I think you forgot the rest of your sentence. "I can't wait for break in TO BE OVER!!!" j/k It's the same application as you did for making it to graduation. I'm very excited for you & your class. Enjoy the rest of your 10 day "breather" & after having 27 weeks under your belt , you can handle another 3 months. Good luck to you all & my husband can't wait to have a couple of guys under him if not for any other reason, but knowing next Christmas (or is it holiday?) party he won't be on the radar for LOWEST officer on the totem pole. CONGRATS again Nor-Cal OFFICER .

Thank all of you for the support through it all. It would have been hard to crawl back with my tail tucked and say I couldn't hack it. Break in is tough. You are right I can't wait for it to be over.

Hi,
I am new to the forum and very excited that I found this. My husband recently graduated CTC 1-08 and we are stationed in the San Jose Office. I believe that the last badge number issued was 19062. Looking forward to all of these forums. Thanks!
