Was there a transfer just prior to the graduation? isn't there usually?? When should the next list of transfers be coming out?? Soon right?

I don't remember the exact date of the last transfer, but I believe it was January 1st. Our next one will be on May 1st and that list is already out. Not sure when the one after that is effective though. Transfer's have been picking up thankfully.

05/02/2006 is the effective date for the transfer list that is already out. Books closed on 02/03/2006 and usually the list comes out 4 to 6 weeks after the books close. So that puts it into the 3rd or last week of March for that list to come out. Not sure when that list will take effect for the tansfers. I think that they went down to three volume transfers for the year instead of the four that they used to do. I don't understand why Sgts. get to transfer every month and we have to wait so long for our transfers. But anyway that's all I have to say about that.

They still do 4 transfers a year for officers. Jan, May, Aug and Nov are the months for this year I believe. The one that just closed takes effect Aug 1.

Thanks guys,
Can you tell, I am just an anxious wife waiting to hear if I get to live with my husband soon or not.... after 4 years, the wait is getting very long!

Four years? Wow, I think it's time!! ::crossing fingers::
Where is he trying to transfer to and from where?
Sometimes I wish I could click my heals together and say, "there's no place like home." It will be atleast another 6 years or so before I'm "home". Best of luck to everyone who's trying to go somewhere.

Where is home for you?

The transfer list came out on Friday - it should be floating around your husband's office somewhere by now. 8 pages, lots of movement all over the state.

Not all over the state.... it looked to me that the vast majority of the movement was in the same old Areas.. Golden Gate, Southern and Border Divisions. Nothing up North or in the Central Valley to speak of, I thought it was a short list
I still haven't been paroled. Atleast no one went to the offices I put in for.
