Private schools near the academy

Does anyone know if there are any private/live-in schools or academies near the CHP academy? I'm a single dad and really don't want my son to stay with his mother (if I'm so lucky to get an invitation). I am not the best with searching the internet, but every time I typed in the information I was looking for either the CHP academy came up or non-live in schools.

I don't know of any but you can try the US Dept of Education web site search at http://nces.ed.gov/surveys/pss/privateschoolsearch/ or another site I found at http://www.privateschoolreview.com/zipsearch.php.

Keep in mind there could be consequences to moving. In the Applicant Study Guide the process for cadets being assigned their offices is explained. With a school age child you may be eligible for a higher priority choice. Do your homework before you make any move.
