New marketed finish for handguns

This is a finish that is being marketed as an anti corrosive. When applied to firearms they can be any range of colors that the buyer chooses. The scary thing is that stereo typical handguns are black or silver, these new finishes with there multiple colors, can easily be mistaken for imitation pistols, or training pistols, or toys.

When presented with something that appears to be a weapon treat it as such until the threat is eliminated or under control.

There's an Italian company that makes handguns just like that painted pink, orange, yellow or other variable color combinations. They have pictures of them posted in the briefing room at the area office I went in for a ride-along at.
