To attend a graduation ceremony do you need to be invited or is it open to the public?

Thanks for asking this question I was wondering the same thing.
I know each cadet is given so many tickets to the graduation. (My son's class got 3 to the ceremony and 3 to the simulcast.)
What about CHP officers? Can they attend without an invite?

We are the Highway Patrol, we do whatever we want.
But we are all professional and respectful enough not to intefere with anyone's celebration.

Wow, so each cadet gets only 3 tickets? How did your son decide who he was going to invite? I have a family full of law enforcement officers as well as my parents and in-laws who are very excited for me should I graduate in January. Can one ask for more than 3? If not, I guess you can't please everyone.

The number of tickets depends more or less on the size of the graduating class and how many attendees they can accommodate in the gym and classrooms.

We were originally allotted three for each venue for the CTC III-07 graduation. We found out about two weeks prior that we were getting one additional for the gym and one additional for the classroom, making it 8 total. There were cadets there with far more than that, but the extra guests were just outside for the badge pinning, and not inside for the ceremony. We actually gave our two extra tickets to other cadets with larger families, so they could bring more people. As Cadet Wife said, it really depends on the class size.

Additional people can watch the outside activities, but they have to come in a car with someone with a ticket.
If it rains, all bets are off.
