Academy dates

Hi all,

I'm going to have my initital background interview in March and was curious if anyone knew when the next academy dates are. I'd heard there was one in March but I'm fairly sure I wont be attending that one. If there is one in May or June and anyone has the dates I would love to know. Thanks

Did they have a list of academy dates somewhere beyond May 29?

They will generally be every 28 weeks. 27 weeks for cadet training and then one week where they prep for the new class.

If it was every 28 weeks then there would only be 2 classes a year. I thought there was more because from March 7 to May 29 that is only 2-3 months difference.

there ARE more. they are run quarterly and there are always two classes there except for a week after graduation. ctc iii-05 graduates this week, ctc iv-05 will be alone for a week, then ctc i-06 will come in. ctc iv-05 graduates in may, then ctc i-06 will be alone for a week before ii-06 comes in. clear as mud? :smile: i don't know the current schedule, but if ctc iv-05 is set to graduate may 19th, i would guess that ctc ii-06 would be starting may 29th? if all were to go to schedule, i would guess ctc iii-06 would start september 18th? someone else (officers?) can probably give better insight.

The best way to know when an academy class is going to start is when you get a phone call from someone up in Sacramento and they tell you when to be there.:biggrin:

if anybody can find the date on the next academy date(after the may one) please post up! i don't think they will complete mine in time for may, so i might be hitting the next date and september would be perfect

Hmm, well, since the classes are staggered, there are two classes at the academy. For instance, the academy started back up in July of 2004 with CTC I-04. Then in November CTC II-04 started. In January CTC I-04 graduated and ten days later CTC I-05 started. In April CTC II-04 graduated and ten days later CTC II-05 started. In August CTC I-05 graduated and ten days later CTC III-05 started. In November CTC II-05 graduated and ten days later CTC IV-05 started. Now CTC III-05 is coming up on their graduation. And the cycle will continue in such a fashion until someone up the chain decides otherwise.

kind of ot, but not really, haha... i heard today that ctc iv-05 just dropped to 60 cadets! yikes! does anyone from that class still post here?
