Looks almost like I-5 going through East LA on a typical weekday afternoon...

Wonder if they'll ever learn..

Here's the best (worst) case involving a shoulder bandit I ever witnessed first hand. The driver of this silver car ahead of me got antsy waiting in stopped freeway traffic and decided to make the right shoulder his own personal exit lane. Problem is that when he pulled out of the traffic lane, he didn't notice the CHP unit coming up fast on the right who was responding to the accident ahead.....

The errant driver narrowly avoided being creamed by the CHP unit and was on the receiving end of some very choice words by the officer who probably got some more paperwork to file on account of this (what is this type of incident considered?). But most importantly, the accident victims ahead didn't get the help they needed from this responder!

Ouch! Looks like they may be able to pull it out with a tow, but what do I know. I wonder what cites that driver would get (besides the driving on the breakdown lane). Hopefully the officer was "OK".

haha, that was a good one. I haven't noticed this problem too much in my neck of the woods, but that guy must have felt like a real jack @$$ after he saw it was a CHP officer.
