SAN DIEGO -- A man is in custody Friday after leading the California Highway Patrol on a chase from El Cajon to Paradise Hills, 10News reported.
The pursuit started just before 8 a.m. Friday when an officer saw the driver make an illegal U-turn on Navajo Road.
The officer tried to pull the driver over, but the man would not stop.
After changing freeways four times and then driving onto a Paradise Hills side street, the chase finally ended when a CHP cruiser was able to bump the back of the car causing the engine to stall.
The driver still refused to surrender so officers were forced to break one of the car windows in order to get the driver out of the car.
