Just wanted to say hello to all the fellow L.E.O's out there from the great State of Texas.
Hope you don't mind a Texas State Trooper on your website.

Glad to have you. Always enjoy finding out how another agency operates and how they view different things.

Welcome to the site. I'm a CHP applicant but I live in Dallas and work as an insurance adjuster. The office I work in handles Ellis County so I may have read a few of your accident reports.
You guys do a great job and I'm always glad to see a DPS report compared to some of your municipal counterparts... stay safe and keep up the good work!

Welcome to the site. Sympathies for the recent loss of one of your troopers. Tragic incident, to say the least.
Hope you enjoy being around a bunch of West Coasters!

Thank you very much.
What didn't get reported though was 4 days later another State Trooper pulled over an 18 wheeler in Greenville, Texas. Asked the driver was there a passenger in the truck, driver lied and said no, Trooper goes up to check and a guy rushes him with a knife in his hand. Trooper creates some distance and shoots the guy. He eventually died the knife wielder, but he should have known better after we lost our Trooper.
Thanks again for the welcome. I was stationed for 14 years on the West Coast when I was in the U.S Marine Corps. So I had plenty of chances to watch you all work.

Welcome,
You say you spent 14 years active duty here in California...did you ever serve on MCRD San Diego? My last tour was on the Depot as the Logistics Chief of RTR. I got out as a Sgt. in 2001 to go to the CHP academy. I served with SgtMaj Kent (current SgtMaj of the Marine Corps). Back then he was the RTR SgtMaj.

Small world for sure. I was at MCRD San Diego from 93-96 as a Drill Instructor in 2nd RTBN in Echo Company. Sgt-Major Kent was my Battalion SgtMajor while I was there.

I thought I’d pop in and say hello to a fellow HAT. It’s Nice to see more Marines on this website, especially Drill Instructors.
I was with Mighty Mike from 05- 07, and now I’m with Support Bn till I EAS.
Semper Fi,
