I was planning on calling a recruiter about this but wanted some opinions first. 2 years ago I was in a accident where I was at fault (after snowboarding I had to drive down a snowy mountain and brushed up against a minivan that shouldn't of been in that turnoff, but there was barely any damage) and also I found out when I enlisted that I have no depth perception, how bad are these?

The accident shouldn't be a problem. The depth perception might be a problem in the eye test portion of the PAT. Do you have 20/20 or 20/40 vision? Are you color blind? If you can pass these, then you should be fine.

If you pass the eye exam, and your depth perception does not effect your capabilities of driving, I dont see why it would disqualify you. As far as teh accident, I would not worry about it. Just when the time comes for you to fill out your PHS make sure you don't "forget" about it. There is no point in avoiding it ebcause the BI will find it. Prior to going into the department, im sure a majority of the cadets and now officers had one or more vehicle accidents or tickets.
You may want to just take the test and see ifyou pass to the PAT. During that time you will take the eye exam. Good luck

No I don't think the depth perception effects me at all, but it's kinda like being color blind where you really don't know what color something is all your life until someone say so, same with DP didn't know I had none until I tested but yeah it does not effect me any way that I know of. Thanks for all the input.
