I felt pretty confident with my QAP interview. I can't say that I answered each and every question with dead on accuracy but all of my responses were honest and were a reflection of my background and preparation. The best advice I can give any applicant is to just relax, be honest to the panel and most importantly to yourself. You are who you are - let the panel decide if you are suited enough.

In addition, I felt that the QAP seminar was helpful in a sense, but again the best answer is from the heart and the seminar should only help you present those answers in a favorable fashion.

I thought the QAP seminar helped a lot. Having separated from the Air Force last June, I found myself looking for civilian employment to hold me over until I could get into the law enforcement career field. I had several opportunities to interview for employment, and I almost wished I'd gone to a QAP seminar beforehand simply for the fact that it would have prepared me for ANY interview, not just a CHP interview.

I found everything in the QAP seminar to be extremely helpful because it addressed all the fundamentals of being a good applicant - dress professionally, conduct yourself calmly and assertively, answer questions directly and honestly, formulate clear and concise thoughts, so on and so forth.

I'd recommend attending the QAP seminar to anyone.

Oh man i thought the side step would be so much harder. i think my lines were further apart :lol:

I just had my interview. I thought that it went well for the most part. Hopefully I get that 95! Good luck to everybody else!
