While read the FAQ's, I saw that being in the military may lengthen your background investigation. Is this because of different duty stations one might have, co-workers getting transfered, and things of this nature?

While read the FAQ's, I saw that being in the military may lengthen your background investigation. Is this because of different duty stations one might have, co-workers getting transfered, and things of this nature?That is one part of it. Military records are (the official copy) slow to obtain. Most in the military have lived out of the state or country, and that too means more work and therefore more time.
