I have a question about the BIs. Does every area have their own BIs? For instance, I live in Gilroy, so would my BI be an officer out of the Gilroy office, or maybe the San Jose or even possibly Los Banos?(I only say Los Banos because I know of one who is or was a BI for a year) And what constitutes where the BI meeting will be? Just curious. Thanx!

Most BI's are assigned to Division offices, however some may work out of an Area office day-to-day. Just depends on the region. It sounds like you are testing/reside in Coastal, so it probably won't be in San Jose (Golden Gate Division). I think Los Banos is in Central Division, anyone?

I'm in Morgan Hill, the city next to Gilroy. I've done my RAs with Gilroy, and live within the Gilroy office's area. The 1st time I applied, I was sent to Coastal division. This time (well, late last summer/early fall), Golden Gate took my application, and there were applicants at the PAT from other neighboring divisions (we had this discussion awhile back...in a perfect world, aplications stay in your division, but sometimes they need to spread out the workload). I haven't had my initial background interview yet, but when my BI called me last October to let me know to sit tight, he'll get to me, he told me it would be at the San Jose office, even though he seems to be working out of Golden Gate's division office right now.
And I do know that one of Gilroy's officers is a background investigator.

Yeah any of those offices I would assume would work. Los Banos would have been cool because I i know a guy who is an officer and served as a BI for about a year, although I think he is only an officer now and if I put him down as a referral they probably wouldnt assign my case to him anyway.;)
