4CHP,
I will not be at the testing (written) , as I have passed this already, but will be attending the PAT/PWT at the end of that month.
Good luck to you!!
I am in the coastal division testing area. Live in Monterey. Where will you be testing?
Cheers!

Yup, I will be testing in April as well. Unfortunately I just found out I HAVE to be somewhere else on April 29th, the day of the PAT and written psyche so it looks like I might have to defer testing for a cycle.
Hi!
I live in the Santa Barbara area...Is the testing centralized somewhere or are there going to be multiple testing centers within the Coastal Division?
Welpe, I hope that you will be able to test on the 29th. Keep us posted!

Welpe, From my experience from being at the lat PAT's, it was combined for the coastal division. It was in Paso Robles. I'll be there. I will be the old guy in the crowd. At this point I do not knw where the PAT's will be heald, but we will soon find out!!
4CHP, Bummer, I am sorry to hear the you will not be there. Just do your best on the written so you can get over the hurdle.
Cheers guys!

I definitely won't be there on the 29th. I need to contact a recruiter and see what my options are. IE if it would be possible to take the written on April 1st and then take everything else on a later cycle or not.

Welpe,
I would take the written as soon as you can and get over that. Once passed you can take the rest later, but if you miss the cycle, you will still need to send in another aplication.
Sorry to hear that you wont be there. Just take the written portion.
Cheers

It looks like I'll probably go ahead and do that then. I also want to squeeze a ride along in after the Mardi Gras Maddness here settles down.

Welpe,
Just checking on your status. Were you able to contact a recruiter and obtain the information that you wanted?

Well how did everyone else's written go? Mine went well, especially considering I didn't get off work until 2 am and to sleep at 3 am. I knew it was going to be a good day when A) I actually woke up to my alarm and B) the sun was bright and shining.

I feel ya Welpe on the written test. I took mine on 3/25 at 8am. I pulled a shift the night before (6pm-6am) and had to drive 40 minutes to Visalia.
I was literally falling asleep while completing the reading comprehension segment.
I tested out of the Central Division.

Ouch, I'm sorry to hear that CA Cop. I hope you did well on it anyways! I was fortunate that my drive to the testing facility was only 5 minutes or so. :shock:ops:
