I heard you have to run 1.5 miles in 9:00 minutes, but that means at a 6:00 minute pace. However, the PT brochures say that the Academy PT Staff wants Cadets to arrive running at least 8:00 minutes per mile. Any insights or clarifications would be helpful!
Resipsa,
I edited your post slightly... Okay, I butchered it, but it was giving away a bit more than I'm comfortable with.
In essence, you asked about minimum standards for PT at the Academy. The PT staff is going to push you beyond your limits, no matter who you are. I'm not aware of any standards set in stone -- you will take a test several times and get a "score," but I couldn't tell you what the minimums are. Bottom line is that you want to be as prepared as possible for you personally. Don't get hung up on numbers -- push yourself until you fall over and then run some more.

Thanks DW! If I had known that subject was not to be divulged, I would not have posted that inquiry. Thanks for the encouragement though......I already meet the pace standards for running and calisthenics, according to the brochure, but I will continue to push myself to prepare for what awaits me in four weeks!

No worries. We can't give away all the surprises at the Academy! ;)
