I like how the video allows you to hear the sirens and crash from the helicopter...

don't know what happened, but something doesn't seem right
sounds like a policy or tactics question is lurking in there somewhere...?!

Does the air bag ever trigger when an officer uses the P.I.T. manuver? I'm sure if you did a U.S. Marshall "ram job" it could deploy the air bag and disable the vehicle. I am just wondering if that was the case in the video. It appears the officer hit the suspect vehicle rather forcefully.

Air bags deploying do not disable the vehicle. Most people think they would, but they do not...you can still steer the vehicle. Not sure what happened with that pit, but as previously stated, the back guy went to jail.

Probably too excited or maybe his foot got stuck :noidea: or maybe he was not able to concentrate at such high rates of speed.
It's scary watching the suspect approach the patrol cars all fast with his hands up... like he was going to pull out a gun.

I'm not able to speak for this incident however...personally, I dont want to be in the position where I am in the line of fire (ie. downrange).

The best made plans of mice and men often go astray!
For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction!
Not everything happens the way we want. Just one of those collateral thiings that comes into play.
