So I was given an interview offer for a field I'm already fully trained in today and spent years trying to obtain a position. Problem is it's the same day but 1 1/2 hrs after my final interview and 2 1/2 hours away. This interview time and place is set in stone in it's offer... My question is, is it inappropriate to ask my BI to re schedule me... I almost feel as if it's fair to ask her because even though it's my final interview I've still got a long way to go in the process and should I not be selected for the academy, I know for this other position I would be given the job offer and I don't want to mis the oppourtunity. Un biased advice but honest advice would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks

Tell her what you told us here in this post. I don't see why it couldn't be rescheduled or why the BI would even care if you rescheduled it for such an important reason. Seems pretty reasonable to me... anyone else??

I guess my question is: Why not try and reschedule the other interview? I think it all comes down to what is most important to you.

DW I did try but they are booked solid and don't have any cancelations. I've chosen to not ask for a resched of my final interview with CHP and will just skip the other.
