Well, just did my phone interview yesterday and I will not be recommended to move on. That being said, I will no longer be eligible for employment with the CHP....father time caught up with me...lol 35 yo and counting....lol

I guess it had to do with that little VC 2800.2 a few years ago....

I was asked why was I applying after that charge....and I said that I will never know if I dont ask and apply....

So there you have it....in a nut shell....

Good luck to all of the candidates that are heading off to the academy and the future ones too...

You can also just Google the VC number and it comes right up. I use that all the time when reading posts I don't understand.

Yeah, and I'm pretty sure I don't want the guy we just spent an hour chasing at 110+ working for us either... (2800.2)

For those who are rejected, remember it has nothing to do with whether or not you're likable, it has to do with things like whether or not you are suited for this career.

T-Rex, good luck with your future endevours.

Looks like we are in the same boat. Im 35 also and was disqualified. I was disqualified because the BI said he thinks I have a problem with authority, even after I spent 10 years 7 months in the military with a spotless record and numerous above average evaluations. I had to apply and give it a shot that way I wouldnt be wondering for the rest of my life. Im a bit disappointed but I will live......

You know, I'm glad that there are people willing to share why they were disqualified, but this discussion is a slippery slope and well....
