Psych. is tomorrow. i didn't really mention it because it seems like it isn't that big a deal. the recruiters never talk about it except to say when it is and that it will be like 1500 questions. there is nothing to study for it, it is not something you study for, you just take it and if you are crazy then they will know;)

Is that something new (taking your psych written after the QAP, that is)? I took my QAP in November of '05, and we had our psych written almost immediately after the QAP. The QAP was in the morning until about noon, and then the QAP was from 12:30 until 5.

How difficult was it? What activities did you guys have to complete?
thanks!

Psych written was on sund. BEFORE the QAP
the PAT wasn't that bad. my advice would be to first off get a vision and color test done. it really sucked for those people who though they would have no problem and then have something that stupid stop them.
Runnin- the 500 is shy of the lap and a quarter that they tell you to practice on. if you can do the lap and a quarter in under 2min. then you are good to go... just make sure that you have time to spare
the 100 isn't that bad, if you can do the 500 you should be able to do this know problem(run it before to make sure)
Upper body test- first you do the "squeeze" test, if you have strong shoulders you can earn all the points you need for this section on this one(i was able to). if not then you go onto the grip test, i didn't do this but it you can score more points here also. almost all men will get all of the points that they need off of these two, but if not then you have the pedaling with your arm one. i saw two girls and one guy do this and they all passed it. upper body didn't seen like it was that hard if you at least have some good strength.
Ab test- i didn't have a problem with this and it seemed like most people did just fine.
Line test- you jump over the lines. just remeber to jump over the lines and not on them, most people who failed this kept on stepping on the lines.
All of this info. is available with the package they give you and also online. As you can tell i didn't think that it was that bad BUT!!! that doesn't mean that you don't need to prepare. Also this is nothing like what the academy will be like.
my suggestion to those who are training for it:
Run the 500/100 ahead of time, and often, to make sure that you have plenty of time
Do push-ups and sit-ups to build up your strength for the above tests
if you want practice the lines at home.
AND get your EYES checked ahead of time!!!
