Good job! You're well on your way. Test yourself on the physical tests to make sure you at least meet the minimum standards. If you can, talk to other officers about QAP scenarios and think how you would answer. Keep on trucking, buddy! Best of luck!

Does anybody have any paticulior advice on what i should work on to prepare myself?Without looking at Northern's schedule, I would imagine your PAT is coming up quickly. Physically, there's probably not a lot you can do in a week or so if you weren't already prepared. The best thing to do is relax, stay healthy, stay in your workout routine, and get a good nights sleep prior.

Yes it is on the 22nd of this month, what is a good attire for the PAT?

My advice is to not stop during the run. Some of the people there walked the entire running test. :hitwall:

Needless to say, those people probably didn't make it to the QAP....

When I did my PAT the recruiter told me "a nice shirt (with a collar) and pants (no jeans). You don't need to bring a suit, just something comfortable and respectable". Good luck and give it everything you have, you'll do fine.

whats the average time people are running there 1 and 1/4 lap in? Did u sprint it or jog it? I have a feeling when i do it i'm going to run it at a sprint just to be on the safe side.

It's not timed. Everyone runs together in a jog...

If memory serves me right, it's a lap and a half and you have to do it in 2 minutes or less. I think they run you in a few groups (not all at once).

It's not timed. Everyone runs together in a jog...Huh??? Not timed? Then why do you fail if you don't make it under 2 minutes?

yeah ive heard its a lap and 1/4 in under 2 minutes. so that is what i will go by.The run is 500 yards. A standard lap is 440 yards. So it is just under 1 1/4. Just make sure you make it in under 2 minutes.

Why would you need to wear a nice shirt and pants when doing the physical tests, wouldn't running clothes be acceptable for that day?

If the physical is still done the same day as the written psych, then I think the nice shirt and pants comment was meant for the psych portion. A t-shirt and shorts (and running shoes, of course) should be fine for the physical.

when i did mine, everybody wore athletic type clothing. after the physical portion when we took a lunch break, a lot of people changed into more comfortable clothing for the psych portion. dont stress too much about it, that day is focused more on physical ablity than anything. you want to worry about your impression when you go for the qap interview.
