If being called a scumbag is the worst thing I hear, it's a good day.

Just shows how ungrateful people are for having such amazing people who give their lives to protect others. How often are you "bad mouthed" or disrespected? More than once a work day or less often such as once or twice a month? I would also like to apologize for any negativity or unfriendliness towards you in my last private message.

At home on days off, two or three times a day. :tape: (Now Boysergeant is going to tell my wife I wrote that and it will be four times today.)

It gets better. The longer you're married, the more "selective hearing" you aquire.

They are more of the Pot head couch potato, video game type.

I used to work Internal Affairs, and you wouldn't believe the call they get in there. People call, complain, then when you ask for their phone number and address so a supervisor can go out and investigate their complaint they cuss you out and say they won't give you the info because they think we'll come out and get them. I don't even know why they called!

Those signs are huge hazards. People look up at unnecessary information and then they collide. These people dont care and think its unfair because the negative outcomes don't affect them. To them, its not their loved ones who get in accidents. It's not them who has to take the accident report.
My FTO and I went on a mission cutting their signs down from overcrossings and putting them in the back of our vehicles. They dont need to be there.

I completely agree that the signs shouldn't be there; it does seem really dangerous for people to stand there and waive signs. I was wondering though, is there anything "on the books" that says they can't?

Ive dealt with these chuckleheads in the past. They do have a legal right to be on the bridges. There is a VC section that prohibits signs to be placed on bridges. If the signs are deemed a nuisance, members of the CHP are required to remove them.

I love this logic.
"A chair in the lanes is a traffic hazard"
..ok so what does an CHP Officer do with such hazard?
Run a traffic break and remove it?!
What did he do with the protesters, Remove 'em.
What did he do with the protesters, Remove 'em.
:doh:And in his defense, he didn't use a traffic break to remove them! :tape:

I guess I should have censored the words in the quotation I posted. Sorry about that.
