A Sacramento man snatched a photo of Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger off the wall of the California Highway Patrol's north Sacramento office at 12:30 p.m. today, apparently in an offbeat show of support for the movie star governor.
CHP spokeswoman Lizz Dutton said the front desk officer had stepped away for a minute, but others in the office saw a man loitering in the lobby, apparently interested in CHP wall calanders.
"All of a sudden he jumped on a chair, grabbed Arnold's picture and took off running," Dutton said.

Schwarzenegger's picture hangs in each CHP office, above photos of CHP Commissioner Mike Brown and the assistant commissioners.
The witnesses described the man and the white Mercedes he fled in. Dutton said she decided to go look for him.
Within minutes, Dutton saw a white Mercedes with a Christmas tree in the trunk near Auburn Boulevard and Myrtle Lane. She stopped the car and found the 25-year-old man, who still had the photo in the car.
The man confessed the act and his motive: "He likes Arnold," Dutton said.
Dutton said the man is mentally challenged, so officers started DMV proceedings to revoke his license, but did not arrest him. She said the man's family came and picked him up.
"We got our picture back," Dutton said.
