Well i went to my mock QAP today and they told me i passed!!! they where also surprised that nobody there had gotten their letter saying so yet. well when the mail came today, sat., guess what was in their, my letter saying i passed!
My question is what did everybody score? As far as i can remember the CHP hasn't released anything that shows what a perfect score would be not what a pass/fail would be. Maybe if we can see what everybody scored then we can get an idea of how well we all did. If you failed please don't be afraid to post your score, it will only help to us to see what a passing score is.
I scored a 52.0

the Jan. 7th written for Southern Division, the one i did, was the very first time. i think that people kept on complaining on not knowing how close they came so they decided to add a score. it is still a pass/fail test, you just get a score now to see how well you did.

Well, well, well... I was at the mock interview too. I contacted HQ on Friday and an officer told me I passed. I got my letter in the mail on Saturday too; I scored 53.5. I'm going to call Southern Division and see if I can find out more about the scoring.

hmmm....interesting stuff and congrats on passing. I wonder if they'll give me a score in the next round, I'm happy with just a "pass", but it'd be interesting to know....since whatever I got on the written 12/10 will be carried over to the next cycle in Valley Div......
Yeah, I was at the mock Saturday morning with theforcechp (aka, Jacob). I was so relieved when I was told that I passed the written. You'd think I wouldn't have found that written difficult being an English major in college, but damn, that was tough. I've taken the CBEST test (to get my teaching certificate) a few years ago, which was also a multiple choice test, and found that to be much easier. I think part of it for me is that I'm just not good at multiple choice tests. My brain just doesn't work that way. I like to write things out and explain them, which is why I know I wrote a good essay.
Anyway, got my result letter which said I scored a 53.4, whatever that means. So now, on to the physical abilities test this Saturday! Anyone want to challenge me for the fastest 500m time? ;)

You guys must of been at the 8:00am appointment... I was scheduled for 10am. Anyway, I spoke to another Southern Division recruiter this afternoon in regard to the test scores. She basically told me that she doesn't know anything about them because Sacramento refuses tell her and bla, bla, bla. I don't know if I buy her story or not, but I don't care anymore. All that matters is we passed. See you guys at the PAT; oh, and Kurt, I'll accept that challenge.

I was at the mock as well on saturday. I went to the 10a.m. seminar. Got my results in the mail the same day. Scored a 54.6. I thought that looked low and figured maybe I was one of the lowest scoring applicants. Anyways good luck at the PAT. I really hope I pass. I have been running so much this week that my legs are just raw. Hope I didnt do too much too late.

I wonder if it's scored the same as the test given at community college academies (it's the same test). I passed it for CHP 1.5 years ago, before they gave a score, but when I took it at the Evergreen academy, I scored 61.7. It then breaks it down further by saying reading 87.5%; writing 80%. So obviously the overall score (they called it a "T" score, whatever that means!) isn't a percent, because 61.7 sounds like a low D, and those combined percentages would be a mid B.
I love the part at the end where you guess the word!

Damn, I almost want to retake the written just to see my score.....After being in school so long it's wierd not getting graded! I guess I never took any classes as pass/fail....

i asked today at my PAT about the grading and it is really confusing. sounds like it is a very complicated equation and that the number doesn't edxactly reflect who did better(if you compare to scores). the person i talked to mentioned something about a person with a 0 passing. it is confusing for me so i give up, all i know is that i passed
