I was just recently fired from my last job, also I was let go from my job before this one. How is this going to affect my background? Should I continue with the process? I have the next phase of the process in February.

Will depend on the circumstances entirely. Be sure to be 100 % honest about it cuz they / we'll find out about it anyway. I'd say continue with the process. At the VERY LEAST, it will be a learning process for you, and if the circumstances keep you out of the process this time, you'll at least be familar with it the next time aroundn (I don't know what the statistics are about how may times the "average" CHP employee tried and had to re-try, but I'd say a fair amount do it 2X or more).

I would be more concerned with your lack of attention to detail than the termination.

Searching for "disqualify" should give you plenty of information to start with.
