i didn't watch the video because i'm a wuss and am too soft for stuff like that... but thanks for remembering what day it was yesterday. pearl harbor day has always been important to us as a couple of patriotic history buffs, but it took on new meaning after living on ford island for a couple of years. i miss taking part in the ceremonies there and especially observing colors at the uss utah from a special seat on our front lawn. it was a phenomenal experience to live in such an historic and sacred place and i'll never forget the veterans i met there, both of the us forces and of japan's. as we head into the holiday season, my heart always starts to swell a bit, in anticipation of pearl harbor day.

so, all of this is just a wordy way to say thanks for remembering. not many people seem to these days.
