My $.02, take it or leave it: Stop... Posting... So much... Personal... Information.

I'm glad you can find support here, but think before you post, please. In the last week, I've seen full names, birth dates, ages, first names, and physical descriptions. Forget about the Staff Office who is reading this, they can probably figure out who you (and your Cadets) are regardless -- though you're making it a lot easier on them. Think about seven months from now when your Cadet is an Officer and is on break-in. He/she is likely to make an enemy or two in their 30-year career; some may one day want to know who you are and where you live. So for your own safety, please don't post anything personally identifiable, no matter how far fetched it may seem. I can tell you from personal experience that tidbits here and there on the Internet go a long way in helping someone find your name and address.

Ladies please don't take defense to DW's post either. In week one CTC I-07 we also were just as enthusiastic as you on here. Maybe not as detailed or if we were we quickly changed our profile info to be a bit less descriptive. I think it was HORATIO who gave us our first bit of advice on being discreet. I was way too naive about the internet or forums like this when I joined in the forum. If your screen name says your whole name & your location actually says your city then it is way too easy to figure out who you are & who you are with. I learned my lesson too & respect the fact that DW & the other verified chippies took the time to put a little reality ck to us. Read through the first 1-3 pages of CTC I-07 & you will see what I'm talking about. Oh & here is my disclaimer*
* All that I say on this forum is JUST advice or suggestion not I repeat not a DIRECTION!!! I truly believe that paying it forward to the new classes' spouses is the way to go & many of us have reached out to you already. So, please like DW & others said " take it or leave it" just my .02 cents.
